Isle au Haut Boat Services invites you aboard to visit one of the rare nesting sites of Puffins along the Maine Coast.
Our fully licensed and USCG inspected Downeast built boat will carry you from Stonington to Seal Island.
A naturalist will be onboard as a guide of the avian and ocean wildlife.
Our trips last between four and five hours, depending on weather and viewing.
The island is a protected sanctuary, so your visit will circumnavigate Seal Island while remaining onboard.

Advanced payment is required to secure reservations (cash, VISA, American Express or MasterCard.

Puffins are easily recognized by their brightly color red and orange beaks.
Puffins are highly social and breed in large colonies on coastal cliffs or offshore islands.
Puffins nest in crevices among rocks or in burrows in the soil.
Their swimming technique is the same as their flying – diving in and out of the ocean for their meals.
